Gena Shingle Jaffe is a lawyer for digital businesses, and she'll help you feel better about the legalities involved with your launch. Gena also talks about how she was able to generate $170,000 from the launch of her first legal program, as well as showing how you don't need a massive audience to have a massive launch!
Gena started her business in 2014, after leaving a corporate job at an NYC law firm.
“My own happiness and sanity was worth more than they were paying me.”
“There’s a really great opportunity here because entrepreneurs really need legal protection.”
Gena reflects on her challenges of starting her business and how she overcame them.
“That’s been the biggest challenge for me, knowing that legal is something that everyone needs, but people don’t want.”
“If there is one thing you need to invest in, it is a client agreement, because you want to protect your money, that’s why you are in business.”
Gena talks about asking for help from big name players to be affiliates.
“I’m not embarrassed, when it comes to asking for help, I’ve got no pride or ego problems at all.”
“I really had to put my heart and hustle into this launch if I didn’t want to have to go back to a corporate job.”
Gena say her one piece of advice in business would be to take what you have learned from other people, and actually take the time to implement it.
The word hustle to Gena means, when she has something that she has to do, she takes the time to go do it and get it done, and not to let herself get distracted.
